Firearm discharged in Surrey doctors surgery one dead 3

Surrey Police are investigating a serious incident in which an 80-year-old died within a doctors surgery, at 11am today.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police attended reports of a discharged firearm within the building.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 80’s, was discovered at the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death but at this stage there is no indication of any third party involvement or wider risk to the local community.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course.
