Teesside Uni student threatened with Knife

A Teesside University student was threatened with a knife in an attempted robbery.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old man was threatened with a knife on Southfield Road.

The incident occurred at 11.20pm on Monday 19th May.

The male was holding his mobile phone in his hand in order to listen to some music, when he was threatened with a knife was demanded to had over his phone.

The victim grappled with the suspect, who then made off empty-handed along Haddon Street. The suspect is described as a male and aged around 20 years old. He was wearing a dark tracksuit.
