Surrey Police have confirmed they have charged two men following an armed robbery at a building society in Sunbury-on-Thames, which occurred on Wednesday 7th May.

Michael Wheatley, 55, of Kent, has been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm or imitation firearm and being unlawfully at large.

Kevin Perry, 53, of West India Dock Road (E14) in London has been charged with assisting an offender, perverting the course of justice and handling stolen goods.

Both men remain in police custody and are due to appear at East Surrey Magistrates Court (Redhill) later today (Friday, 9 May).
