A recovering drug addict and alcoholic has handed in £75,000 in cash that he found in the street because he wanted to make his family proud.

Joe Cornell, 52, a Salvation Army worker found a bag of cash that had fallen from a security truck into the road.

Joe himself only has £1 a day to spend on his lunch handed the cash to police.

The security company rewarded his honesty by giving him £3000,00 along with £3000,00 to the Salvation Army.
