Middlesbrough woman's death spark investigation

Cleveland Police are investigating the death of a Middlesbrough woman following a serious assault overnight.

Police attended Parliament Road in Middlesbrough following reports of a serious incident at 3.35am on Saturday May 3rd.

Police found the body of a woman upon arrival inside a property, The woman was later pronounced dead.

Police have a crime scene in place as they investigate the ‘sudden and unexplained death’

Detectives from the Cleveland Police Major Crime team are now investigating the circumstances leading up to the death.

Forensic investigations are under-way inside and outside of the property. No one has been arrested in relation to the death.
