Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision which left a man with serious injuries.

The collision occurred at 11.10am on Thursday May 8th on Wilton Bank close to the junction of Liverton Whin in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Police have detained a 58-year-old male driver at James Cook University Hospital.

The male is in a stable condition however he is suffering from serious arm, head and internal injuries.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting reference number 077031.
