Hartlepool teenager subjected too attempted robbery

Cleveland Police are today asking members of the public to come forward who may have witnessed an attempted robbery in Hartlepool.

Police say the incident occurred at 12.30PM on Wednesday May 14th on Elwick Road near to Grassmere Street.

Two men approached a 17-year-old girl, they crossed over the road and approached the victim.

One stood in front of her and another at the side, they then attempted to grab her bag which was over her shoulder.

The first male is described as white, aged 20-30 years old, around 6ft 1” tall and of broad build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with a yellow design on the top.

The second male is described as of slim build and around 5ft 10” tall.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Andrew Morland on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
