Cleveland Police have launched an investigation following an incident were-by a  17-year-old male was intimidated into handing over cash to a group of males.
The teenager was walking along York Road in the direction of Park Road in Hartlepool on Friday May 2nd at 2.40pm when he was approached by four males, the males surrounded him and demanded cash.
 
The males were aged between 18 to 23 years in age, made off in the direction of Burn Valley, all males are described as white and wearing dark tracksuits. One had short, fair hair and was clean shaven. He was of medium build, around 6 feet tall and had a local accent. 
A member of public then approached the teenage to make sure he was safe and well, who was wearing a high visibility jacket, police are appealing to this man to come forward to help police with their enquires.
 
Anyone with information is requested to contact Cleveland Police using the non-emergency number 101.
