Police hunting for a rape suspect with a history of violence have arrested a man.

On Friday 23 May 2014, West Mercia police officers executed at a warrant at a flat in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

While there they arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of rape, failing to appear in court and recall to prison.

He remains in police custody.
