A 11 year-old school boy has this evening been shot in the shin with a plastic pellet in Norwich.

The incident occurred at 7pm on Sunday May 18th on Falcon Road West.

A group of four boys aged between 11 and 15 were out playing when a red vehicle passed with a gun pointing out the window.

One of the boys was stung in the shin with a plastic pellet. The boy received no lasting injury and no medical attention was required.

The vehicle believed to be involved was a blue Peugeot 106. The driver is described as 17-20 years-old, tanned with short dark brown hair and stubble. There were also two male passengers in the car, which headed in the direction of Salhouse Road following the incident.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone with further information.
