A mother who has been charged with the murder of her three children has appeared in court, she wept throughout her appearance.

Tania Clarence aged 42 arrived at Wimbledon Magistrates court in handcuffs, her face was covered by a high-visibility jacket.

Clarence broke down in to tears as she confirmed her name, age and address to the court.

Clarence has been charged with the murder of her three children two twin sons aged three Ben and Max and a four year old daughter Olivia.

Her husband was in court observing proceedings, The court remanded her in custody.
