Gwent Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Tredgar.

The incident occurred at 10.30am Today (Wednesday April 30th).

A man approached a woman on Gelli Road, near the Lidl Store, and demanded money.

He was holding a knife at the time. The woman grabbed the knife and as a result suffered a minor cut to her hand, the man then ran off.

Enquiries are on-going, anyone with any information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log number 118 30/04/14.
