Hero Cops save drowning woman from canal #GoodPoliceWork

Two Metropolitan Police Officers have been today hailed hero’s after they saved a drowning woman from a canel.

The unnamed woman was threatening to throw herself in to the canel, in East London was saved by PC Anna Moon and PC Lee Plant, who jumped in the freezing water and pulled her back on land.

The woman jumped off a ledge and in to the water soon after Police arrived at the scene, she began to struggle as soon as she entered the water, Police officers made a number of unsuccessful attempts to rescue her before they pulled her out.

PC Moon took off her shoes and jumped in the water, after the woman refused to grab hold of lifeline ropes.

The incident happened this morning at Limehouse Cut Canal at 9am.
