Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in a garden in Crumpsall.
At about 4.10am today, Sunday 27 April 2014, police were called to the offices of a solicitor’s firm on Delaunays Road following reports of a possible break-in.
When officers arrived they found the body of a man in a garden of a nearby property. The man had a severe injury to his leg.
A post mortem will take place later today to establish the cause of death.
Two men have now been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody.
Detective Superintendent Joanne Rawlinson, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “We have only been dealing with this incident for a matter of a few hours so the investigation is very much in its early stages.
“There would appear to have been a burglary at the premises on Delaunay’s Road and on police arrival a body of a man in a nearby garden.
“I am confident that this man is in some way connected to a possible break-in at the solicitors.
“Detectives are working to establish how this man came by his injuries.
“Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody.
“I would like to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything unusual overnight in Delaunays Road.
“If you have any information that can tell us what’s happened then please call police on 0161 856 3925 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
