'Are you going to arrest me' Rebel Runners ignore police road blocks during half marathon

Half Marathon face police road blocks and threats of arrest this morning following what police believed was a small number of runners disobeying race cancelation orders.

The Sheffield Half Marathon was cancelled after enough water to ensure the event was safety run turned up to the race.

Police placed road blocks and attempted to stop what they believed was a small number of runners disobeying the canceled, however quickly changed their mind and removed the road blocks after it turned out thousands of runners decided to run the race.

Police were outnumbered by the sheer force of runners who had travelled from far and wide to take part in the half marathon and completed months of training.
