Fire Engines from across Teesside were dispatched to a fire within Hartlepool Power Station after Lagging caught fire.

Ten Fire appliances attended the incident in which new Lagging had been fitted around piping on Friday within the power plant.

The fire occurred within the turbine hall at 1.30am on Saturday morning.

The fire was caused by over heating of excess oil resulting in the lagging catching fire.

The fire was quickly put out with dry powder.
