A man who died after being hit by three cars on the M73 motorway is named

A man who died after being hit by three cars on the M73 motorway in North Lanarkshire has been named by police Scotland.

Paul McDermott, from Clydebank was walking on the southbound carriageway near Gartosh at 05:05 on Saturday morning, when he was struck by three cars traveling on the motorway. Emergency services attended but could not save him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been notified.
