Police are searching for a woman who attempted to steal goods and assaulted a member of staff in a Tesco Express.

The woman entered the store in Manningtree High Street at 9.40pm on December 10 last year and tried to leave the shop without paying.

When she was stopped by a member of staff she pushed past them. The victim suffered no visible injuries.

Anyone with information should contact PC Paul Kilgannon at Harwich police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
