Police investigate 1K Great Ayton mountain bike theft

Stokesley Police are today investigation following the theft of mountain bikes from Great Ayton.

A house in Great Ayton was burgled resulting in the theft of the mountain bikes.

The incident occurred between 11pm on Wednesday 12 February and 6am on Thursday 13 February 2014, from outbuildings of a house on Wheatlands, Great Ayton.

The thieves stole two mountain bikes, a silver Rock Hopper and a silver Giant Rincon, which have a joint value of around £1,000.

PC Blair Taylor, of Stokesley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw any suspicious activity in the Wheatlands area of Great Ayton around the time of the burglary I ask you to contact the police straight away.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered the bikes and ask them to get in touch.”
