Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body and a 51 year old unconscious man.

The incident occurred at a property in Doncaster police were alerted the incident on Thorne Road, Balxton In Doncaster at 6pm yesterday evening February 25th.

Police later arrested the unconscious man on suspicion of murder, he was then taken to hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Formal identification has not yet taken place for the woman and a post mortem examination is expected to take place later today, Thursday, 27 February.

Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death at this time.
