Police Scotland Tayside Division officers have been dealing with a number of snow related incidents.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the A9 after a number of minor collisions this afternoon.

The snow gates have since been closed in both directions at Cal…vine, Pitlochry.

Emergency services are in the area dealing with a number of incidents.

At 2.24pm a car and van collided on the A9 at the Drumochter Pass.

In another non-injury incident a Mercedes C20 car carrying four adults slid off the road five miles south of the House of Bruar on the A9 southbound.

Also on the A9, two HGV lorries collided blocking both carriageways. No one was injured. At 2.30pm a lorry broke down on the A9 at Pitlochry with a punctured tyre.

Bear Scotland have a number of gritters working in the area and hope to have the road re-opened as soon as possible.
