Cumbria Police confirmed they have recovered the body of a male this afternoon (February 5th) at Askam-In-Furness.
Police were called to reports of a body floating in the water today at 4.07pm by the coastguard close to the pier in Askam.
Members of the public sighted the body in the water which was later recovered by the Coastguard.
No formal identification has taken place, but the police have made contact with the family and are supporting them at this difficult time.
Cumbria Police have confirmed to Breaking News that there is no suspicious circumstances.
