Durham Constabulary have this evening carried out an armed incident which sparked a social media Hoax robbery speculation in which a person was shot within a supermarket.
Durham Police carried out a hard stop in which armed officers forced a van off the road on Yarm Road Darlington to arrested three people.
Police boxed the van with unmarked cars and forced it to stop before they were arrested at gun point by armed officers.
Police sealed the road off from Bright street to Cobden street.
The police helicopter monitored and recorded the incident from above.
Police have confirmed to Breaking News Police no shots were fired.
