Appeal after man indecent exposes himself to teenage girl in Preston

POLICE are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself to a 16 year old girl as she walked home in Cottam.The incident took place around 4.15pm on Tuesday 4th February on Merrytrees Lane along the underpass which runs under Tom Benson Way.

The girl was walking near to the Ancient Oak when a man walking his dog has pulled down his trousers and exposed himself before laughing and walking away.

The man is described as being white, aged in his late teens and slim build. He had brown shaggy hair and was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a t-shirt and blue and white trainers which had a white band around the bottom. His spoke with a local accent.

His dog is described as being a three legged Staffordshire bull terrier or Pitbull type and was a black and white speckled.

 

Sergeant Paul McLernon from Preston Police said: “This is a disturbing incident and it is important that we trace the man responsible.

 

“I would ask people to think carefully about the description of this man, together with that of his distinctive dog and if anyone has any information that could assist us with our investigation I’d urge them to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
