At about 12.30am on 5 January 2014, unknown offenders forced open the shutters of Altrincham Bike Shack before using a concrete slab to smash the window.

Three bicycles, including a Venge worth £3,000 were stolen. A couple of other bikes were damaged by the offenders.

Detective Constable Cherylin Allen, said: “Not only were bikes worth several thousand pounds were stolen, the offenders caused significant and costly damage to the shop.

“As an independent retailer the cost incurred will be felt all the more keenly and I would urge anyone with information about the stolen bikes or people responsible to call us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7530, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
