Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A19 northbound near the Tontine restaurant.

Police were called at around 7.30pm tonight (28 January 2014) after a single vehicle left the road on the A172 off-slip to Stokesley and overturned.

The road is currently closed with diversions in place at the junction with the A684 near Osmotherley.

The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.

We will update you with details of casualties when we are able.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
