Police appeal for witnesses after car was stolen in Hollingwood, Chesterfield.

A man forced his way into a house and stole car keys and a car.

On Thursday, January 9 at midnight the owner of a house on Laburnum Street heard a tapping noise on the outside door. He got up and answered the door to find a man there holding a wooden stick.

The man pushed his way into the house and stole car keys and then made off with a silver Ford Fiesta that was parked on the drive.

The man was described as wearing a face mask and dark clothing. He was of slim build and around 5ft 8ins tall.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Neil Burling using the non-emergency number 101.
