Police are able to confirm that a man tragically died this morning following the road traffic collision on the A595.

At 7:57 am this morning (21 January 2014) police were called to a road traffic collision between a car and a HGV on the A595 between Cardewlees and Nealhouse junction.

The HGV, a tanker transporting milk, was driven by a man aged 64 from Fletchertown. He was uninjured.

Police officer are in the process of tracing the deceased man’s family.

The road will main closed while Collision Investigation officers examining the area. Diversion remain in place.
