A drunk Manchester United Fan called police by dialling 999 to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson after they crashed out of the Capital On Cup last night.

Police published a Facebook statement telling fans they understood that fans were sad after the loss, but reenforced that 999 was to be used only in an emergencies.

The drunken man wanted to speak to Ferguson, Manchester Police suggested they ring Manchester United directly instead of the police.
