This evening there is growing concerns raised by the Environment Agency of a tidal surge effecting the Essex Coastline at 2am.

The warning is for the following:

  • The Suffolk and Essex Coast from Felixstowe to Clacton including Orwell and Stour Estuaries
  • The Essex Coast from St Peters Flat to Shoeburyness including the Crouch and Roach Estuaries
  • The Essex Coast from Clacton to St Peters Flat including the Rivers Colne and Blackwater Estuaries

Police are advising people not to go near sea defences being topped if it occurs, Other coastal areas will be affected too and if flooding occurs this will be updated!
