South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to an altercation involving two men which happened outside The Refreshment Rooms public house in Cymmer, Port Talbot.

The incident occurred at around 12.15am this morning, (Thursday 2nd January) and involved two men in their 50s.

Police officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

A 50 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in police custody.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 or anonymously via Crime stoppers on 0800 555111 and quote reference 62140001494.
