Cleveland Police Confirm Middlesbrough College Stabbing Hoax

Claims that begun when a social media page posted that their has been a stabbing at Middlesbrough College are a Hoax caused by the social media page.

They falsely made claims that someone had been stabbed at Middlesbrough College causing anxiety and distress to college students and worried parents.

Cleveland Police were forced to respond to claims saying ‘Contrary to rumours on social media police have not received a report of a stabbing in or around Middlesbrough College #rumourcontrol’

Middlesbrough College were forced to reassure students who failed to turn up to classes due to the hoax.

They acted quickly to reassure distressed parents and students saying ‘This is a hoax – Students are safe at Middlesbrough College.’
