Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on Buttermere Avenue in Middlesbrough outside Acklam Library at around 12.30pm on Tuesday 21st January.

An 84-year-old woman was involved in the collision along with a Vauxhall Insignia.

The woman suffered a fractured hip and was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Tina Lackenby from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting event number 11395.
