On 9th January 2014, police officers stopped a vehicle in a routine check on the M6 near to Burton. Upon speaking to the occupants of the car, officers notices a strong smell of cannabis coming from inside. A searched was carried out and approximately half a kilo of cannabis was located.
The value has been estimated to be £6,000.
The two occupants, both men, aged 23 and 20 from Barrow-in-Furness were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Both have been bailed until 3 March 2014.
