A man has died two days after he was pulled out of a canal in Manchester city centre.
At around 10.30pm on Sunday 19 January 2014, police were called to Dale Street to reports a man was in the canal.
Two men aged 28 and 34 were walking the canal path that runs under Dale Street when they were approached by two men and a teenager.
The 34-year old man was attacked and pushed in the water but managed to climb out.
A 25-year-old man also fell into the water and was taken to hospital for treatment, but sadly died last night at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
