Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a 19-year-old man suffered injuries requiring hospital treatment in Hemlington.

The incident took place at around 6.30pm on Monday 20th January at the Viewley Shopping Centre close to the One Stop Shop, involving four men and two women. Police believe that an implement may have been used in the incident.

A 19-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital requiring medical attention for two minor puncture wounds, which were treated. He was then discharged.

Three men aged 22, 28 and 29 and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and were released on bail pending further enquiries.
