17 year old boy attacked in Doncaster

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was attacked by three teenagers in Doncaster.

The boy was on his bicycle in Ash Dale Road, in Warmsworth, when he was approached by the boys who demanded he hand over his bike.

He was then wrestled to the floor and assaulted before the suspects were disturbed by a passer-by and ran off.

It happened between 8.30am and 8.40am on Sunday (26 January 2014). Nothing was stolen in the incident and the victim sustained facial injuries.

One of the suspects was white, about 17 years old, of skinny build and about 5ft tall. He had short, shaved, blond hair and was wearing a light grey tracksuit top and bottoms.

The two other suspects were about 12 years old and of skinny build. One was about 5ft 2ins tall, had shaved blond hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit top. The other was wearing a black hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

The victim believes he may have seen the attackers in Edlington Road, near to Lords Head Lane, shortly before the attempted robbery.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident, is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 316 of 26 January.
