Detectives in Dundee are appealing for information after three brothers aged 15, 16 and 20 were seriously assaulted in Victoria Street at its junction with Brown Constable Street in the early hours of New Years day.
The trio were walking home when sometime between 12.30am and 2am they were approached by a group of men opposite Skyaxe Boxing Club and seriously assaulted.
The 16-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he was treated for bruising to his face and a broken wrist.
The 20-year-old sustained bruising and cuts to his face and received treatment for a broken finger.
The 15-year-old was knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked. He sustained a number of cuts and bruises as a result of the assault.
The men responsible are believed to have been in a group of about 12 people, including women. All are described as being in their late 20’s to early 30’s. Two of the men were wearing kilts, white shirts, and black waistcoats – one of the men had blonde hair and the other had black hair.
Officers are also keen to trace a woman who may have witnessed the assaults. She’s described as being aged in her late teens to early twenties with dark hair tied back in a ponytail. She was wearing a white or light coloured jacket.
Anyone who witnessed the incident take place, or anyone who can identify those responsible, should get in touch with Police Scotland Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any police officer. Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
