Police remain at the scene of a sudden death at a house in Wilmot Drive, Newcastle.
Police found a male who required medical treatment.
Paramedics were called to the scene but he sadly died.
Detectives and crime scene officers are currently working to establish the circumstances of the death.
Police have confirmed to Breaking News that five men have been arrested over the incident.
All the men were at the address at the time or the arrest and all remain in Police custody.
A crime examination is taking place with a cordon is place while forensic examinations are completed.
There has been no formal identification. With a home office post-Mortem examination expected to be carried out.
Chief Inspector Jon Staite said: “This type of incident is rare in Staffordshire and is being thoroughly investigated by the force’s Major Investigation Department.
“We are grateful for the patience and understanding of the local community at this time whilst we carry out a detailed examination of the scene.
“Uniformed officers will remain in the area in the coming days to offer reassurance to local residents.”
