Two men charged after man threatened with gun

Police have this morning charged two men following an incident which occurred early yesterday morning.

Police have charged a 22-year-old man from Sowerby who will appear at Northallerton Magistrates today Tuesday 31st December 2013.

He has been charged with two counts of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Police have further charged a man aged 26 also from Sowerby who will appear at Northallerton Magistrates court on Friday 24th January 2014 charged with the same offences.

It follows an incident in which Police attended an incident on Station Road in Thirsk at 9.25pm on Monday 20th December 2013.

A man was threatened with a gun during the incident.
