20131210-123638.jpgAt 1210 hrs on Friday 13th December 2013 a fatal road traffic collision occurred at the pedestrian crossing on Gelliwastad Road, Pontypridd, at its junction with Penuel Lane and Library Road.

 

The collision involved a 49yr old local male pedestrian, and a silver coloured Peugeot 406 estate motor car. The male pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision from which he later died at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

 

South Wales Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or any persons who may have been in the area at the time and may have seen the movement of the pedestrian on the crossing or can comment on the movement of the Peugeot car prior to the collision.
