South Wales Police is appealing for information following a robbery which happened in Swansea at around 4.50pm on Monday 9th December.
A 44-year-old man was in the process of parking his car, a black Volvo C70 convertible CV54STX, in a garage at the rear of the White Swan public house near Matthew Street flats.
At this point, seven suspects who had been standing against the railings of a nearby church, pushed the victim to the ground and assaulted him.
Two of the suspects made off in the victim’s car which was driven towards Dyfatty. The other five made off on foot up High Street in the direction of Dyfatty cross.
Detective Inspector Darren George of Swansea CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw the group of seven male suspects in the area behind the White Swan pub prior to the incident at 4.50pm to come forward.
“Two of the suspects made off in the victim’s car which remains outstanding. The other five left the area on foot down High Street.
“I am also appealing to anyone who has seen the Volvo or its occupants since 4.50pm on Monday to contact the police.”
