Police have charged Samuel McIlveen, aged 24, of Carleton Road, Penrith in connection with causing death by dangerous driving.

This relates to a fatal road traffic collision on the B5320 at Eamont Bridge, Penrith on 7th March where Robin Hewitt, aged 20, lost his life.

Mr McIlveen will appear at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Friday 3rd January 2014.
