A pregnant woman has had her face slashed in a completely random attack police have said.

Police are now appealing for information following the attack on a heavily pregnant woman who slashed across the face.

Hayley Baker aged 29 was rushed to hospital after she was slashed on Thursday, which happened on Hertford Street, Cambridge.

Detective Inspector Jamie Stenton said: “This was a nasty attack which appears to have been completely random.

“I would urge anyone who has any information or knows who is responsible to call the police as soon as possible.

“Anyone with any information should call DI Stenton on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
