Police warn only travel if necessary after five collisions

Police are dealing with a number of road traffic collisions in the south of the county and are urging motorists to drive only if necessary due to treacherous road conditions.

At 6.09pm Police were called following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M6 Northbound near Kendal.

Police were called at 6.21pm following a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A590 Eastbound near Milnthorpe.

Police were called at 6.22pm following a one vehicle road traffic collision at Blawith, Ulverston

Police were called at 6.31pm following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M6 Southbound near Kendal.

Police were called at 6.34pm following a two vehicle road traffic collision at Lindale.

There are believed to be no serious injuries at this time in any of the five collisions however Police want to take this opportunity ask motorists to drive only if necessary. If you have to travel please slow down and drive with care. The roads are very icy and motorists must adjust to this.

None of the roads are closed at this moment in time.
