Police Officer Shot in Leeds

Police are hunting a man today after a female police officer was shot in leeds.

West Yorkshire police have launched a manhunt for James Leslie, 37 , of Cardigan Road in the Hyde Park suburb of the city.

They want to trace him after he allegedly opened fire on two police officers when they called to an address on Cardigan Road after reports of a disturbance.

The female officer received serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A male officer was uninjured. The female officer is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
