Police investigate Aiskew burglaries

Bedale police are appealing for information following a number of burglaries near the town, which are believed to be linked.

They occurred between Saturday 21 December and Monday 23 December 2013, at John Gills, Aiskew, a farm on Bedale Road, Aiskew, and the Wensleydale Railway Station, Leeming Bar.

The burglars broke into all three premises before stealing a cash register, money, soft drinks and food.

PC Joanne Fawcett, of Bedale Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “As all of the properties which were broken into, back onto the Wensleydale railway line, I strongly believe that the same people will be responsible for all three crimes.

“If you saw any unusual vehicles or anyone acting in a suspicious manner in the area, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”

Anyone who can help with this enquiry should contact Bedale police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Joanne Fawcett. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected]

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12130221529.
