Police are appealing for information to assist an investigation into how a 47-year-old man received leg injuries whilst walking home at around 11:25pm on 20th December in Hartlepool.

Officers believe the man may have been in a collision with a red car on Kingsley Avenue in the town. He was taken to North Tees General Hospital by ambulance where he was later released with bruising.

Police are also keen to trace a woman who was seen to be helping the man by the roadside. They also want to speak to anyone who may have seen the man walking from Oxford Road onto Kingsley Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
