Malton police are appealing for information about a burglary and theft near the town.

It happened at a house on Ryedale Close, Helmsley, between Monday 16 December and Saturday 21 December 2013, when burglars broke into the property.

PC Lucie Welford, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you noticed any unusual vehicles or people acting suspiciously in the Ryedale Close area during the time of the burglary, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away.”

Anyone who can help to progress the investigation should contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Lucie Welford. Alternatively, information can be emailed to @northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
