Police have this evening arrested a man following a roof top incident in Hill Road, Barrow.

He has been detained by police on suspicion or criminal damage and burglary.

Police attended the address at 3.26pm after concerned members of the public contacted police.

On arrival he was throwing items from the roof and into the road.

The male was detained at 7.35pm following the incident which involved a number of police officers and a containment.

Although no one was injured in the incident, Police would like to thank everyone for their patience during the incident.

The male is currently in police custody at Barrow Police Station.
